Ronin Token is the next big thing to be heralded into the cryptocurrency space. This is the Axie Infinity guide and if you follow this article slowly, you will be able to farm the Ronin token trough the Katana swapping pools by pairing either AXS/WETH or SLP/WETH.
The Axie Infinity’s decentralized exchange called ‘Katana Dex’, was released some months ago. The Ron Token, which is the ecosystem token of Ronin being the sidechain of AAxie Infinity was also released almost the same time.
According the Axie Infinity team, the launching of RON at the same time Katana was launched was to enable them to distribute it to community members who will be adding liquidity to KataNa.
What this simply means is that whoever provides liquidity to Katana so as to ensure the continuous operation of the exchange will be given RON which will be in proportion to the person’s contribution to the pool.
What is Ron in Axie Infinity?
RON is the token of the Katana ecosystem which will be used for payment of transaction fees in Axie Infinity. It will also be used for other games that will be built on the Ronin sidechain.
Currently, RON is not for sell and it value can not be ascertained, but you should know that it that being the token of the ecosystem, it will likely go all the way up because of continuous demand.
As the RON is not for sell, only people who provide liquidity to the Katana ecosystem are rewarded with the Ronin Token (RON).
Axie Infinity is one of the first games to have its own decentralized exchange. Axie Infinity players are able to swap between assets like WETH, SLP, USDC, and AXS within the Axie Infinity Ecosystem and avoid paying gas fees through other exchanges.
Ronin is Ethereum-link sidechain and this is where the Ronin Dex is built on. What this means is that players are now able to have direct access to other tokens without leaving the Axie Ecosystem unlike before.
How To Get Ronin Dex
To get Ronin Dex, you need to download the Ronin Wallet app from either Playstore or App Store and install it. After installing it, register and ensure you have saved your security seed phrase somewhere safe and never reveal it to anyone else.
How To Swap Tokens in Ronin Dex
To swap tokens in Ronin Dex, you need to open the Katana website on Chrome browser in a laptop, ensure that the website is: katana.roninchain.com
Once you have opened the website, click on ‘Connect Ronin Wallet’ to link your Ronin account with Katana. You will see your funds at the top right corner of the screen if you have successfully connected your wallet.
Click on ‘Swap’ the swapping window will come out, select the token you want to swap from, insert the amount and click on the next box below to choose the token you are swapping to. You can swap SLP to AXS for breeding, SLP to WETH if you want to buy Axies.
Once you have done that, click on SWAP or Approve if it is your first time, you will be asked to confirm on your Ronin Wallet, click confirm and give it few seconds to approve then click ‘SWAP’.
How To Provide Liquidity
By providing liquidity, you are depositing assets in the liquidity pool with the hope of being rewarded a share of the trading fees as well as RON tokens, remember that the RON token will be used for transactions in the ecosystem.
How Do You Farm Ron In Katana?
To farm RON token, you need to stake your liquidity pool tokens so as to earn RON. Before you can stake, you must have LP, these LPs can also be earned by providing liquidity.
Below is the complete step on how to farm RON.
You need to first of all have Axie Infinity token (AXS), you can simply do this buy purchasing it on Binance with USDT. Once you have purchased it in Binance, go to your Ronin Wallet, copy your wallet address and head over to the Binance app. Go to your wallet, click on withdraw, click on Funding and choose Axie Infinity, paste the Ronin address at where you have the address box, change first word on the address ‘ronin:’ to ‘0x’ then choose Ronin as network. See below image.
Change ‘Ronin:’ to ‘0x’ as seen below.
Once you have done this, insert the amount of AXS you want to send or click MAX if you want to send all, click send and verify. After this is done, give it some seconds and the funds should appear in your Ronin Wallet.
Install the Ronin Wallet extension in your Chrome browser, simply click HERE to find the Ronin Wallet Chrome extension. After adding the extension, click on it and login your Ronin Wallet details.
After doing this, you need to create Axie Infinity account, click HERE to open the Axie Infinity marketplace, click on Login at the top right corner of the page. Once it has opened, click ‘Login With Robin Wallet’, this will connect your Ronin Wallet with the Axie Infinity marketplace.
Once you have clicked on it, choose a username an click on ‘Save’. Add your email and create a password to complete the setup.
Open Katana swapping pools katana.roninchain.com on the Chrome browser in a laptop or desktop computer. Click on connect Ronin Wallet, confirm connection.
You need to swap half of the AXS you have to WETH in other to be able to stake in the liquidity pool. That is if you are pairing AXS/WETH, click on SWAP and chose AXS then insert the amount of AXS you want to swap to WETH, (ensure it is half of the total AXS you have).
For example, if you have 40 AXS, insert 20 AXS and choose WETH in the second option down. Click SWAP or Approve, depending on which one is written below. Your Ronin Wallet extension will pop out, click on ‘Confirm’ and give it some time to confirm.
The next thing is to add liquidity, click on ‘Liquidity’ or visit Here to open the Liquidity page. Chose AXS as the first token and WETH as the second token, you need to insert the figure for one token and the other one will auto calculate and insert. Once you have inserted the total AXS that you have, its WETH equivalent will appear, click the button below to approve the transaction. Your Ronin Wallet will appear, click ‘Confirm’ to confirm the transaction.
After doing this, you need to farm ROn, simply click ‘FARM’ or click here to open the farm window. Once it opens, click on AXS/WETH, the box will open itself, click ‘Approve’ then click ‘Stake’. Confirm the transaction on the Ronin Wallet and it will be succesfully done.
You will start earning RON once you have done all these.
If you want to stop farming RON tokens, just click Farm, click on AXS/WETH and click Unstake.
